The Lion's Roar

I am never too fond of seeing this Emperor. Sitting on his stone throne, he doesn't smile. In fact, he doesn't even look at me. He glances off over my shoulder, probably keeping an eye on someone or something; making sure that they are doing things correctly and in line with his personal wishes. When I look at him I sometimes see a bully. This has more to do with the negative attributes of this card, but with a reversed Strength beside him, I see a situation where The Emperor may very well have pulled the rug from beneath someones confidence or the wind from their sails. Even though we are adults now, there are still people who like to throw their weight about and bully others into doing what they want.

I did wake up feeling a bit out of sorts this morning. Even though things have changed in my life for the better, I still worry about the future. I may have work coming up, but what will happen after that? I still want to move out with my boyfriend but I doubt we'll be able to get a place if I can't prove a regular income. If we class The Emperor as the world of structure, industry, and authority, then through these thoughts, he has sent the second card tumbling into a reversed position. Strength's maiden has been turned upside down by the lion and is now overwhelmed by his roar. The beast symbolises her fears and doubt, which now have her by the throat.

Despite being cold, it is bright outside. In fact, it is bright inside too, as my parents whitewash their way through the house. The results are not really to my personal taste. To be honest, I preferred it before. But we are hoping that it will speak to prospective buyers, as it does make the house look bigger, cleaner, and more modern.

With a lot to do next week, I am sticking around here today. My boyfriend and I are going to Lee this weekend for his grandmother's birthday. His parents will be driving us down with them and the remainder of his immediate family will meet us somewhere to have something to eat. It's a surprise kind of thing. As to not impact on that and because March is steadily becoming a busy and expensive month, we are keeping the remainder of the weekend quiet. After having last weekend filled to the brim, I am more than happy with this.
