Oh dear. That poor animal in the middle is certainly getting a bashing, isn't he! There appears to be the odd little gathering going on behind his back and those owls and mice certainly seem intent on bringing him down. I'd rather they told him to his face. I'm using a different Lenormand deck from yesterday, but still, two of the same cards have returned - The Owls and The Dog. I'd say that tongues are definitely wagging.
After ten hours of sitting and waiting with his bag packed yesterday, my dad finally got the call and went to the hospital. He was given his bed and asked to wait for a few more hours before his operation. At 7pm, he rang my mum to say that he was not having it after all and that it would be done the next morning. She has just returned from seeing him and he still hasn't had it. Rather than be dealt with this morning, they have added him on to the list of today's patients so it may be this afternoon. When you are worried about going through with something which isn't particularly nice like this, all of the delaying doesn't help and I am sure he is worrying. It's not the same without him at home overnight. You could really feel the gap with just Mum and I here.
So back to the old dog, caught in the middle. These cards kind of follow on from yesterday, since the loose chattering of the owls is now joined by the nibbling of the mice, who eat into a friendship when placed next to The Dog. I wasn't so concerned about them yesterday, but their words seem to be spreading. I am now alert to minor gossip and it's possible eating away at relationships. As I look at these cards, I feel as though I am sitting amongst it all. Have I ruffled a few feathers or does this concern someone else? I think it has to do with what I was speaking about yesterday, but it could also be highlighting niggles elsewhere. There are other situations where I may have possibly got people's backs up and could be taking the brunt of an underhand lashing of their tongues.

Ooh, I've been resisting getting a Le Normand, but I really like the images in this one...
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear of your dad's terrible waiting, so frustrating and quite frightening, too. It's the antici-----pation, that does us in!

There are some nice little Lenormand's out there and this is one of the most popular. From what I remember, it's pretty inexpensive too. I took my meanings from Titania's Fortune Card book, but there is a LWB in the pack. I think you'd like it.
ReplyDeleteI know, it's frustrating about the hospital. Apparently, he is getting on well with the guys in his ward so that must take his mind of it (even if one was previously paralised during the same procedure. Jeez).
Very visually interesting reading. I hope it's nothing serious--either the operation or the gossip.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
MM
