I was meant to meet my friend today but her daughter has a high temperature so she called it off. It kind of worries me sometimes that this kind of thing is actually a relief, because it means I don't have to go anywhere and can happily stick around the house. I have things to do, such as some research for the one-off Dickens workshop I am doing in a few weeks, but no plans can often mean a cup of coffee and dressing gown day, with little much else squeezed in between. I feel kind of ashamed to admit that. Even though it has no value to anyone away from this blog, I might work on my creative review after applying to employers and agents who will never have the common decency to reply.
Even though every agent and job I have applied to this year has not born one response yet, the bottom row of today's draw would suggest good things on the work front, wouldn't you say? The 3 of Pentacles always comes up when there is some kind of action in my working life, and as with yesterday, the 3 of Wands and Ace of Wands predict movement and fresh and exciting opportunity. Since there are two '3's' in the bottom row, I'd say there was some kind of growth involved; the retrieval of something I have been waiting for blossoms. I am not sure what to trust; my skill at reading the tarot or my bad experience of employers and the job market. They are at odds today.
If my intuition (or desire) is correct, then hearing some news about work would be connected to the Queen of Swords. She reminds me a bit of one of the women I am working with on the Dickens project. Cathi is a very strong lady, who speaks her mind. She says those things we all want to, but are often afraid to. She did call me last night to alter a date for a meeting. I suppose there is every chance that the queen could be her, since aside from being a good friend, she is also a part of my working community at the moment.
It's interesting to find two of yesterday's cards in today's spread. This is one of the things that makes tarot interesting when you read regularly. And it also illustrates how different cards can influence the general theme of a reading. Without my dad in there and the inclusion of my personal 'work' card, the story is about something else entirely. I will not hold my breath, but will look out for today's straight-talking queen and see if she doesn't bring me a little news about work.

I love this idea of the post-it readings! It's just brilliant... visually appealing to me, and an interesting way to sum up the main ideas of the reading!
ReplyDeleteI hope your day allows you to rest and work on your personal creative projects. You have no idea how much you'll miss them when you get a regular job... I have been meaning to write some reviews to, but no time and not inspiration. My daily job is not bad at all, but it's an absolute creativity choker. I've been looking for some outlets, but haven't had any luck so far...
Looking for a job can be such a pain, but still I think you are living a moment that is filled with potentials (as indicated by the 3s and the Ace of Wands).
haha i love this picture with your post it notes on the cards :]
ReplyDeleteThanks Marina and Bonkers!
ReplyDeleteI sometimes used to do this but didnt photograph it, but I thought it might be nice to see those instant thoughts scrawled on the cards here. I have been leaving them with the post it notes on to come back to, should there be anything else that comes to mind. It's also interesting to survey on the blog, should I look back over previous entries to see if anything has materialised from my readings.
And yes, I know what you mean about the projects Marina. I finished one for the creative review today and am soooo pleased with the results. I have been looking at it all night. So that's two different visual things made; one sprung from the Original Rider and the other from the Radiant :) Definitely can see the Ace of Wands for both yestrday and today.
