The Guise

The Queen of Pentacles is back. On this occasion, I don't think she is resembling my mum; I think she speaks generally of nurture, care and the home.

My boyfriend and I had planned to go out today as he wanted to buy himself a new television. However, we awoke to a thick blanket of snow outside, so have not left the house. When I looked out of the window this morning, a few cars were stuck and not moving, and a large sheepdog could be seen, bounding about in the snow with one of it's friends, having a whale of a time. I am not a lover of the snow and am already worrying about whether it will sabotage a few of the appointments I have next week.

My boyfriend is napping. We just watched Almodovar's 'All About my Mother' and towards the end, he began sniffling and sneezing. I think he might he coming down with a bit of a cold, so today's nurturing queen might be a guise I need to slip into, should be need some looking after. I am wondering if that's one big Neurofen cold and flu tablet that she holds in front of her, ready to serve up to her beau with a glass of water and some vegetable soup.

  1. Love your readings with this deck, Tarot of Reflections. It is such an extraordinary deck and nobody ever really mentions it. I find it slightly gothic and with its gestapo raincoats and high boots. One of those decks I know I love and wonder why I don't use more.

  2. I've had my eyes on it for years and for some reason never bought it until recently. I love the style and I love the colours. The Page of Wands is great; as are some of the other wild characters with their deep green pea hair styles and pink coats. I think it is one I will keep coming back to. I always wondered why it was mentioned so little. In a way, that kind of makes it all the more special.
