Wishes do Come True

As I thought, two of yesterday's cards played out during the day. As you can see, I have turned them over in my reading, making it easier to see those cards which are still yet to play their part. The central card was the 9 of Cups.  I saw it as my wish for good results from my father's operation. The top right card, the 6 of Wands was connected to this, showing victory as the outcome I wished for. My dad is yet to have everything analysed, but the physician who spoke to him after the procedure said that it looks as though the treatment has worked. This was obviously a big relief for all of us. Those cards offered comfort and hope yesterday.

Like I decided, I rested up yesterday morning while my parents were at the hospital, conserving what energy I had for the afternoon. I took a walk to the train station after lunch and then made my way over to the gallery. All of the previous work had been taken down, ready for the new pieces. Artists had turned up with their work and some set down to create exhibition pieces there and then. Seb prepared the walls and plinths and we discussed where things would be displayed.

Working in different places, whether for money or voluntarily like today, is something I enjoy. I have worked in some schools which I have not wanted to set foot back in again, but in other places, like this gallery, I have really enjoyed the space and people. This project has had a good vibe from the outset and I will miss it after the private view on Saturday.

The rain has continued to battle against the sun. I am at my boyfriend's house until the end of the weekend, and right now as I sit in the conservatory alone, it is hammering away at the roof. The weather was delightful this morning, so I spent the day with his sister and niece. We popped over to my parent's house so that I could pick a few extra bits up and then she took me for lunch. I enjoy her company a lot. She makes me laugh, but we can also talk at length about our feelings. We finished the day off with a cup of coffee and a reading. She seemed to get some real understanding from the cards. I shall miss her a lot when she, her husband and kids finally move away.

I am still at a loss regarding the remaining cards in this reading. Even though the Princess (or Page) of Pentacles might have represented yesterday's good news, I cannot help but think she relates to a working opportunity or something financial. I can not unlock the secrets of the 2 of Swords and The Fool, but connect them to the Princess, feeling that they could concern deliberating over a choice, rather than diving in without consideration.
